Well originally we was every going to go funfair, me and a load of friends, my mums paying for three of those friends. Then we found out its £10 to receive there on the train! we are a cheer leading group in Lancashire. Like most youngsters after school leisure activities, we are very short of funding. I have contacted a few businesses for sponsorship but to no avail, have written to SportsEngland and even contacted Camelot Lotto ! (why not !!) We have been established a few years now, and have about 90 youngsters training between 2 and 4 nights a week. On Saturday night a pal of mines had a party. After dinner and entertainment during dinner, the DJ had gotten started on playing music while everyone was sitting around and chatting while smoking Hookah (hubbly bubbly which a guy pal and myself had lite every the pipes and got them going). The girl who was hosting the party had approached me to open the dance floor, as I do dance as a social sport & had been asked to train a group of trainers to tutor a dance. So had gotten onto the dance floor along with the guy pal I was chilling out with. A few seconds into the dance performance, two other guys had joined in which was fun and had did one number to receive the dance floor open. Her folks are relatively conservative in a Muslim way but had not minded the dancing. Another girl was there at the party had not agreed because her reasoning was that my dress was over the knees & doing a performance with 3 guys was not on. My thing was that my dress was a few centimetres over my knees with boots and stockings on (it is winter here in South Africa) and was just a dance number and it was perfectly okay. The host and her parents were completly okay with it. Why must some people make things completly difficult when they not been asked to do a dance number or anything??? WHy are some people just so jealous?

k , well I'm 13 years old. Female. 5'11. 150-180 pounds. African-Canadian. I got inspired by a teacher at my school, who said that if I become a Boxer, I will go very far in life, and that I will be very famous. I've never really thought about being a boxer, I have always thought about being a DJ or something that I would like. And now that I think about it, I know for a fact that I will like boxing. Since I am tall, my dad wants me to be a basketball player. But I said no , I like volleyball , I am going to play volleyball. Then he said no. So I asked him if I can train to be a boxer, because I know that it is something he loves to watch on T.V. and now he said no, there is to much damage to boxing. I really want to become a boxer. Hey =) So a couple of my friends got jobs to become djs at local bowling alleys around the area, tonight i showed up to hangout with them and some other friends for the night and basically we every got put into training to be djs for a bunch of areas on the weekends. Me and one of my friends are meeting up with him again to do another Gig/Session(?) with him at a different alley. We'll be going every weekend. people who would want opportunities to be a, let's say, DJ, or ballet dancer, or artist... but yet they live in a village so needy, they can't afford basic materials to even realize their dreams? how are they supposed to express their creativity if they have not enough to afford the materials or training necessary to pursue their ambitions? for example, how many little girls in Africa want to be ballet dancers, but can't even afford food to eat let alone ballet lessons? @no religion in this pub: not every place on earth has the job opportunities we have; look at India, it's been a free market for the last 20 years, and it's still brutally needy.

So, I've just gotten round to listening to the Kaleidoscope album (better tardy then never), and it's left me feeling rather deflated - tiesto used to be so inventive, the king of dance music. He was voted the best DJ in the world, three years in a row, and now it's just nice of poppy home music. What happened to tracks like Suburban Train, Traffic, Adagio for Strings, Ayla, etc etc etc? Why has he felt the need to add vocals to every his tracks - i'm every for him branching out and trying different styles, but where's the energy? the excitment? Is it just me?

Okay for the past two years my mom has treated me like a little kid. She kept buying me training bras till I was like 12 and I'm a bit busty and she knows that and she kept getting me these uncomfortable bras that were 2 cups too tiny, she bought 30A's and I went to pink and got measured and I ended up being a 34C. Then she won't let me receive a job, but when my older brother was 14, my mom made him receive a job and she didn't care that he had one. Then she freaks out about letting me stay home alone, I'm not a bad kid, we live in the suburbs, we have a freaking alarm system and if I needed something I could walk to my neighbor's home or call my mom/dad/brother from my cell. PLUS ITS LEGAL WHERE I LIVE! Then she barely lets me out and when she does its only for like a couple of hours. I'm 14 wtf am I gonna do with a couple of hours. Then she gets mad when boys flirt with me, it gets on my nerves. I might not even think they're cute and she thinks I'm ho-ing around with them. Then she won't let me wear make-up, not even a little mascara. Once I wore a tiny bit of mascara and my mom got so pissed, she made me tardy for school. Then she doesn't respect my style. Like my decor in my room, she always rearranges it in the way she finds livable, well I'm weird and I like my living space differently, she didn't do this with my brother. I dress a bit 'scene' if u may stereotype me and she hates it! She hates my clothes and tries to put me down like saying they make me look fat or I look dumb or something, yet with my brother he was into the hip-hop style with the du-rags and the baggy a** jeans and he was super skinny, the white tees and the Jordan's. she had NO problem with his style, and he looked like a retard but everytime I said that she yelled at me and when he did it she didn't say a thing but 'Toughen Up, don't be wimpy. Ignore Ryan(my bro). Then she freaks when I text/talk to my guyfriends on the phone. I'm not sexually attracted to them, and I'm not a promiscuous girl so my mom should trust me. I corrected her about the types of drugs he used and she just got mad. I'm very responsible and smart and fun loving. She doesn't respect my hobbies. I really adore modeling and music but she doesn't want me to fulfill my dreams of being a singer/tv personality nd she tells me I suck at it when Ik I don't, I have some opinionated friends and they even say I'm talented. Yet when my brother wanted to be a gangsta rapper and he sounded like Lil Whyte she supported him, now he's an unrecognized DJ when he should be focusing on college, he might receive kicked out and she thinks I'm the rebellious screw-up. Then she said that I'm a 'fake a** poser' because I wear jewelry with handcuffs, brass knuckles, guns, skulls, hello kitty and cute cartoons. I've worn this kinda stuff for like 2 years and I've always been a bit weird, she wants me to be a preppy b*tch like she was in high school. I have plenty of friends so I'm not like socially challenged or anything just not like her. It started out at "my school" and we were having a fashion show that you had to audition for. I made the clip, and basically you picked out an outfit that was a skirt and top or a dress. It was required that you wear heels down the runway. I decided I didn't want to do it, because for some reason I thought I was going to fall - and it wasn't worth the humiliation. So I go off the stage, and look my "boyfriend" (I don't have one in real life) looking at the porn star at our school because shes on the ground behind his dj booth doing the snake. I walk up to him and he looks at me like "oh crap." and I'm like "I don't understand it. I have the body, so what makes her more appealing?" because we had the same structure. Then I had Drivers Ed, and I was in the car with four people. The kid driving was an awful driver, and we ended up at some train station, so I tagged along for a field trip with seven other kids. So we're there and we're in this old movie and book store and I'm searching for Aladin to bring home to my mom, but I can't find it. This girl Meyer is helping me find it, but gives up. So I ask another girl Stephanie to help me, and she gives up. And I explode at Stephanie saying shes a bad pal - then realize Meyer is missing. She came back home. I need a dj software to remix my songs...but i dnt have any professional training and dont know how to use softs like virtual dj.... every I HAVE IS CREATIVITY....DNT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MIXING SONGS...AND CANT UNDERSTAND FROM THE SOFT'S MANUAL

I am the owner of a tiny mobile dj company. I have just hired and trained a couple of part-time employees to do some of my gigs for me. Since I am home-based business, the equipment is stored in my home. I would really prefer not to have employees coming to my home to pick-up equipment for each gig. In addition, I would prefer to NOT have to deliver the equipment myself. Delivering the equipment myself pretty much defeats the purpose of why I hired the employees in the first place as I might as well stay and do the gig if I am going to go through the trouble of loading up and delivering the equipment. Anyhow, does anyone have ideas on how I might solve this problem? Below are some ideas that I’ve considered. Any other additions to this idea list are appreciated. i'm starting to receive into DJing, and the DJ that's training me likes to mix Techno and home music. I wanna try and mix some of it, but i don't even know where to start. Suggestions?

I have two lovebirds. Unsure of their genders but they haven't laid eggs or showed any male dominance behavior, so we're fairly sure they are both females as they both try making nests sometimes... but they've never used their feathers for it! We provide them with lots of perches, new toys, and we re-arrange the cage weekly so it's always appealing to them. During the day they just play and snooze like rocks from being so sleepy of flying around! They were both once hand-trained. You could hold them with your bare hand, pick them up, and do whatever... until my baby sister started annoying them by sticking her fingers through the cage and petting them with one finger. Now they bite any skin they look, and cannot be held or anything unless you wear gloves of a different colour than skin. Okay, so they're both adults, we've had them since they were about 2 years old... they should be maybe 4-5 or 6 years old now. The problem is, that one of them, Diva, has a bald neck! You can look little feather roots sticking up but you can't receive close enough to look anything but red skin. She scratches at it and rubs her beak on it every the time. We thought maybe she was bored at first, or she was trying to make a nest. We thought it couldn't be mites or anything because our other bird, DJ, didn't have any. But after a couple weeks I soon noticed DJ doing the same scratching/rubbing thing, below her tail. I saw the same baldness and roots, and red skin thing there. Both birds have big patches... Diva's seems to be getting bigger and bigger every single day, and we don't know what to do! I've heard that by spraying anti-feather plucker on it is a waste of time and money as it is not effective... what do the feather mites look like? Why are the mites causing the birds to drop feathers? Will the feathers grow back? How can we receive rid of the mites quickly? DJ & Diva are really uncomfortable with it. :( Please, if you can help or know of anything I should try, tell me! Google isn't helping, and neither is the guy at the pet store!! PS: These birds have never had mite problems until now.

I'm in my last semester at university and am just feeling like my life is heading no where. In about 3-4 months I will have my degree and start working. I train for triathlon races, which gives me something to look forward to, but apart from that, there is nothing else in my life that interests me. I just receive quite down about the fact that I just bum around home and don't do much else in my life. Sure, I'm working towards my degree and everything, but I don't have any other hobbies really, I've considered taking up learning Spanish, doing more salt water fishing and maybe taking up surfing or getting a DJ turntable to play around with. I've also been thinking about ideas to make stuff and maybe sell off on the internet to make a bit of money and keep me interested and something to look forward to. Basically I'm the type of person who likes to slowly work away at things and one day have a final result that I can look at and be proud of. Thanks.
